Pilates is a training method named after the founder of the method, Joseph Pilates.
The method combines body and mind connection, physical and mental control.
The main principles of the method are breathing, control, concentration, precision, mobility, rhythm and flow.
Joseph believed that when we breathe we are more in control of movement. He claimed that breathing is the first and last action we do in life, so it is important to learn to breathe correctly. When we learn to breathe correctly, we will control the exercises better and the level of concentration will increase - the practice will become more accurate.
Joseph believed in the importance of making the right movement, and when we are precise in the movement it will flow efficiently and effortlessly.
Joseph coined the term "the powerhouse of the body" and referred to the core of the body. Pilates works from the center of the body and the stronger our core muscles are, the more stable and healthier we will be and we will live without pain.
In class we will move the body with an emphasis on all parts of the body and create harmony in the flow in every movement.
For everyone!
Pilates is suitable for men and women of any age, pregnant women, those who have never trained and athletes.
As much as possible! The recommendation is at least twice a week regularly.
The founder of the method used to say:
After 10 lessons you will feel the difference
After 20 lessons you will see the difference
After 30 lessons you will have a completely new body!
